We create games with unique techniques

Most of our game graphics are hand-drawn on paper. This analogue technique lets us give an almost tangible, warm feel to our visuals. Now, we are all about quality and the harmony of senses, so we really believe that putting extra time and effort into our game’s music and sounds is crucial.

That’s why Pixelinvoke’s soundtracks utilise a mixture of recorded acoustic and electric instruments, alongside the usual synthesised elements. If audio and graphics are in balance, a game begins to excel!

Get ready for our breathtaking new game, Wormster Dash!

Prepare yourself for a one-of-its-kind runner game with hidden passages, deathly traps and a dazzling fantasy world. Your task is to outrun a menacing monster you awakened when digging too deep into sacred grounds.

If you’re looking for an iOS game which tests your skills, provides captivating gameplay, provokes big laughs, and presents you with a distinct audio-visual experience, then Wormster Dash will surely satisfy your gaming desires!

When doodles evolve into a complete game...

Our games feature graphics that are hand-drawn on paper, creating a very real and warm atmosphere. The unique soundtracks feature a mixture of acoustic and electronic elements to accompany this amazing world.

We believe in original soundtracks and sound design

We believe that a good game needs great sounds to shine. András, our composer and sound designer writes original soundtracks for our games. His tracks are made up of separately recorded acoustic, electric and synthesised instruments. From time to time, András includes the team in recording sessions by making them sing and act silly in his sound studio. Apart from enhancing the music with vocals and human noise where appropriate, these sessions usually turn out to be really fun team building opportunities too!

Our story

When our graphic designer, Balázs showed us future concepts for games we said: “OK… We MUST start an indie game dev’ studio!” And so Pixelinvoke was founded in February 2014. We started with a team of 4, begun renting an apartment in the heart of Budapest, bought a few desks and chairs from IKEA, and jumped into the development of really fun 2D games with extraordinary graphics and sound.

By today, our team has grown. We’ve got 6 core team members and 5+ people who often join to work with us in their free-time. Our group has great game designers, developers, a composer and sound designer, as well as 2 members dedicated to marketing, user acquisition, analytics and management.

We just started building an amazing hand-made puppet world...

We began working on another game which is going to be just as distinctive as any other Pixelinvoke title. We started filling our desktops with handmade puppets destined for a peculiar tower defence game. With this, we guarantee a visual experience no one has ever seen…

A playable demo will be coming this fall and at the same time we’re launching a Kickstarter campaign to everyone who’d like to support a game with an unprecedented world!
